On-line resource to make life easier, friendlier and more fun

Welcome

This weblog (blog) is designed as a magazine for the estate and also as a training resource for anyone using the Pooter Room or any of our learning resources.

I will be publishing a regular news update – ‘a post’. The most recent one will always appear under this message.

In the right hand bar are links to our two other sections – Gardening and Computing.

There is also a section called Chatterbox and we hope that you will use this section to comment on things that happen in our area. Try taking part in the discussions. It is a good way to find people that share your views and will help improve your computing skills. This is also a good place to get to know your neighbours.

At present we have three topics posted Gates, Cycle Racks and AGM.

If you want to keep informed don’t forget to subscribe to emails. You can also get alerts from Twitter and Facebook and we can tell you more about them if you attend the Pooter Room. There are also instructions here.

New Links

Hi Everyone

I apologise for the delay in posting some of these messages.

We have quite a few, which is why I haven’t got around to doing it. I’ll start posting them a couple at a time and see how we go.

in case you have difficulty reading that:

This event is for 16yrs+ women. The instructor is female.

The venue is: 39 Cornwood Drive Hall (beside the Swan Office).

Every Thursday from 10.00am to 12.00pm.

Next up is Job vacancies at the Olympic Games:

If you left-click on the image it will take you to the Skillsmatch website then just click on the buttons.

Reminders…

Can I draw your attention to the three reminders below?
They are about current events that are taking place around the estate.
You can save them to your desktop by right clicking on them and then selecting ‘save image as..’ The browser will offer to save the file as ‘reminders.jpg’ and suggest a folder. Select ‘Desktop’ and select the ‘SAVE’ button.

Update

On 29/11/11 we held the next to last EERB meeting before the AGM which will be held in February. Most of the meeting was spent dealing with outstanding repairs and the rest with the AGM.

At the beginning of the meeting we were addressed by a lady from My Weigh and she informed us about their initiative which will be starting in the New Year. I have posted a copy of their handout below but please look out for further information. It should be landing on your mat in the near future.

I shall be keeping my eye out for more information on this as I’m starting to spread a bit and the coming festivities certainly won’t help. They will be holding the course in the hall at 39 Cornwood Drive and it is always more fun to do this sort of thing with your friends and neighbours; so, watch out for this if you feel you might want to take part.

There are two other new posts on the Gardening site that I would like to draw your attention to; they are about winter plants and the recent letters Swan have sent out to some residents regarding the upkeep of their gardens. You can access them by clicking on the blue text above or the Gardening button in the side-bar to the right.

Because this site has not been working the way it was intended I have re-vamped it. I hope it is now easier to understand and to navigate.

From now on (22-11-11) ALL notifications will be posted on this site [www.projex-e1.org.uk] below the ‘Welcome’ post. People will also be notified by Twitter and email. Later we intend to set up notifications on Google Plus too.

The ‘Tweet’ will just be a link that takes you to the latest post. On the latest post you will find links to anything else that has changed recently on the whole website. This includes all pages and ‘Posts’ on Chatterbox. If you are already following us on WordPress you will informed as per usual.

‘CHATTERBOX’ is a forum and we hope you will use it to keep abreast of what other readers are following and (we hope) commenting on.

Hi – I hope everyone is starting to get the hang of this now?

Hi there – This is the beginning of what I hope will become a useful resource for all kinds of people but especially for the residents on the Exmouth Estate….

The intention is that I’ll blog stuff of general interest to all members of the estate and signpost things that are more to do with computing or minority interest. For instance we have the Royal Wedding Street Party coming up so I’ve put in a picture link. If you left click on it you will find more information.

As you become acquainted with the site you will discover how to filter things out so that you only get the stuff that interests you.

Please follow us and write in with your comments. Tell us if there’s stuff you want to see.

Ellen Ferris has written in with details of a recent meeting. Left click on the highlighted text to read the message: Leaseholder Charges #1.

Judy Lyle has written in to thank people for help with the bunting.

We also have some day trips coming up……..

If you want to create your own post send it to me in the first instance and I’ll post it for you. Later we’ll give you a password and you will be able to post direct.

If you follow us for a while and bear with us, we can iron out the glitches …….
